Maharashtra To Launch Mumbai Megapolis Metaverse
The Department of Tourism, Maharashtra’s Government, and the Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai have signed an MoU for the ‘Mumbai Megapolis Metaverse’ project, aiming to showcase infrastructure developments and transform the Mumbai Metropolitan Region by 2025 through a digital twin project.
Devendra Fadnavis will officially launch the project at Mumbai Tech Week on February 18, 2024. The Mumbai Megapolis Metaverse will provide an immersive virtual representation of the city’s future, including ongoing infrastructure projects and a vision for MMR’s transformation by 2025.
The project will also educate citizens on the tech, cost, and environmental factors of sustainable infrastructure, enhancing their understanding of the city’s future. The city will celebrate its thriving tech ecosystem during the Mumbai Tech Week, which will take place from February 18–23, 2024.
