HashKey Launches As HK’s First Retail Crypto Exchange

HashKey Exchange, the first legally recognized retail virtual asset exchange in the area, opened for business. Leading banks, insurance companies, officials from the Big 4 auditing firms, and important members of the HKSAR government all attended the official launch, which was held at the Maritime Museum Central.

The website provided the first fiat trading pairs such BTC/USD, ETH/USD, and USDT/USD and offers direct bank transfers in both USD and HKD.

Among the important speakers who discussed the changing state of the Web3 sector in Hong Kong were Norman Chan Tak-lam, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Hong Kong Web3 Association, and Joseph Chan Ho-lim, JP, Undersecretary for Financial Services and the Treasury.

HashKey operates under strict guidelines set by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, including user admission protocols, anti-money laundering measures, and consistent transaction monitoring.

HashKey Exchange stores 98% of digital assets in cold wallets, and regular audits by Big 4 accounting firms ensure transparency and adherence to regulatory standards.
