Genesis opens new Bitcoin mining facility in Sweden near Porjus Hydroelectric Power Station.
The plant can currently handle 8 MW of power, but GDA intends to soon increase that capacity.
The business will run its Bitcoin mining activities using renewable energy sources, and it will collaborate with a nearby business to manage the facility. Two other GDA facilities, including a greenhouse data centre trial announced in 2020, have already been opened in Sweden.
By establishing an example for other players and reducing its environmental impact, the company wants to be at the forefront of the Bitcoin mining sector.
