FIU To Consider Pleas of Seven Banned Crypto Platforms To Restart India Operations.

Seven offshore crypto platforms, including Bitfinex, Kraken, and Huobi, will petition India’s Finance Ministry’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to resume operations after being shut down for Money Laundering Act violations. They could be allowed back after paying INR 2,900 Cr in GST.

UK Gov’t Introduces Bill To Recognize Digital Assets As Personal Property.

The UK Ministry of Justice proposed the Property Bill to legally classify cryptocurrencies and NFTs as personal property in England and Wales. Led by Justice Minister Heidi Alexander, the bill aims to protect digital asset owners from disputes and fraud by clarifying their legal status.

FTX and Alameda Research Unstake $24 mn In Solana.

To prevent market disruption, FTX and Alameda Research will sell Solana assets via an OTC desk, following the unstaking of 177,693 SOL worth $24 million. Despite the large holdings, their actions are unlikely to impact SOL prices as demand from investors remains strong.

CleanSpark’s Tennessee Acquisition Powers Hashrate Growth.

Bitcoin miner CleanSpark plans to buy seven bitcoin mining facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, from Exponential Digital for $27.5 million. The acquisition, expected to close by September 25, will boost CleanSpark’s hashrate by 22%.
