Circle, issuer of the USDC stablecoin, plans to launch a native token for its enterprise-focused Arc blockchain testnet. Arc, built as an Ethereum-compatible Layer-1 network, was introduced in October with participation from Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, and Visa.
Circle says the token will support governance, adoption, and network participation as Arc evolves toward decentralization.
The company’s strong Q3 earnings highlight growing institutional demand for blockchain infrastructure as Circle pushes Arc toward becoming a hub for enterprise-grade decentralized applications.
