  • Bitget reported $1.86 trillion in total trading volume during Q3 2026, up 21.2% from July to September.
  • Crypto derivatives volume rose 31.5%, while spot trading increased 65.7%.
  • The exchange expanded cross-asset trading through its Unified Trading Account, supporting more than 370 eligible assets.
  • Bitget introduced additional security measures following a September 24 incident.

Bitget shared that it had a trading volume of $1.86 trillion in the third quarter of 2026. There was activity in crypto derivatives, spot markets, and contracts for difference.

The exchange had a 21.2% increase in trading volume, between July and September, according to its Transparency Report. It also added cross-asset trading services.

These results show that Bitget is working to bring cryptocurrency markets and traditional financial assets together on a single trading platform.

Derivatives & CFDs Support Bitget’s Growth

Crypto derivatives trading volume went up 31.5% to $409.19 billion during the quarter. Spot trading activity went up 65.7% while CFD volume went up 39.7% to $376.32 billion, making CFDs the exchange’s non-crypto trading category.

Bitget also introduced its Cross Asset Unified Trading Account (UTA), which brings more than 370 eligible assets under a shared margin structure, including over 100 tokenized U.S. Stocks. The exchange said eligible assets can be used across trading products with valuation ratios going up to 95%.

Other updates included expanding its AI-powered GetAgent Playbook to tokenized U.S. equities, improving pricing and launching Cash Plus, a stablecoin yield product.

“We’re seeing more traders move between crypto, stocks and traditional assets and that’s why we are building a Universal Exchange ” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.

Bitget Strengthens Security Measures

Bitget highlighted independent research assessing its market liquidity. TokenInsight ranked the exchange first among nine platforms for BTC and ETH futures liquidity, while CoinGecko included it among the top 10 exchanges for Bitcoin and Ethereum spot liquidity.

CryptoRank’s simulated slippage research also reported lower slippage for certain $50,000 token orders compared with another venue. These findings relate to specific research methodologies and market conditions.

Security remained another focus following an incident on September 24. Bitget said user account balances were unaffected and reported that its Protection Fund had recovered to more than $300 million by September 30. The exchange engaged Mandiant and SlowMist to investigate, introduced a circuit breaker, and reported a Proof of Reserves ratio above 110%.
