Bitcoin Payments App Strike Expands

Strike, a Bitcoin-focused payments company, is expanding its app from its current base of the United States and El Salvador to more than 65 countries.

Strike CEO Jack Mallers made the announcement on Friday in Miami Beach, Florida, at the Bitcoin 2023 conference.

The Strike app offers global payment and cross-border money transfer services using Bitcoin and Lightning, a secondary network for cheaper and faster bitcoin transactions. The app now has a brand new user interface and allows users to store funds in bitcoin (BTC) and tether (USDT).

Strike claims that the expansion will bring its total addressable market to nearly 3 billion people.
