A recent Wall Street Journal report says that AI company Anthropic is close to a $1.5 billion joint venture with major Wall Street firms. The markets have reacted with strong confidence.

Prediction markets now give a 100% chance that Anthropic will provide its “Mythos” system to the US government by April 30, 2026. Such certainty is rare and shows strong alignment between private companies and government goals.

The partnership goes beyond just financial backing, putting Anthropic at the centre of efforts to bring artificial intelligence into national defence and infrastructure. As tensions rise between the US and China, Washington has sped up its investments in AI to become more self-reliant.

The joint venture could give Anthropic the money and support it needs to meet government demands. It also boosts the company’s reputation as a provider of advanced AI systems.

Right now, the market is very confident about this outcome. Still, it will only be confirmed once Anthropic, its Wall Street partners, or US agencies like the Department of Defence make official announcements.

Changes in regulations or executive decisions could affect the timeline. Even so, most people still expect the deal to go through.
