How Will the ACU Token Airdrop Impact Acurast’s Growing Ecosystem? Acurast has formally announced that on January 20, 2026, it would launch both its Mainnet and the ACU Token Generation Event (TGE).
After years of research, development, and practical testing via its canary network, this is a significant turning point for the project.
The Acurast network’s native token, ACU, will be introduced with the Mainnet debut. Acurast will use an airdrop to distribute 10 million ACU tokens as a reward for early backers.
On January 20, 2026, right before the TGE, the airdrop photo will be taken. At 12:00 PM UTC on January 27, 2026, eligible users will be able to claim their tokens; the claim window will remain open until February 27, 2026.
Members of the Cloud Rebellion who have accumulated “MIST” points over several seasons are the only ones eligible for the airdrop. Long-term network stability will be supported by a 24-month linear vesting schedule for all airdropped tokens.
Additionally, early canary network users have the option to convert their cACU tokens into native ACU. Depending on the lock-up duration selected, the conversion rate may be as high as 1:1. Tokens can still be used for staked compute rewards and governance participation even during the lock period.
Is ACU Positioning Itself for Immediate Liquidity From Day One? Designed to be a multichain coin, ACU will launch natively on Acurast and be connected to ecosystems such as Ethereum to facilitate liquidity. Near the TGE date, official exchange listings are anticipated to be revealed.
