The University Digital Asset Xcelerator, or UDAX, was introduced by Ripple and the University of California, Berkeley with the goal of accelerating the XRP Ledger’s practical deployment.

Through the initiative, Ripple engineers, technical assistance, mentorship, and international investors are made available to company founders. Its objective is to transform early-stage blockchain concepts into enterprise-ready, scalable products.

Live results have already been delivered by the first cohort. Projects include digital collectibles, insurance, creator tools, and tokenised finance. During the program, a number of teams released goods instead of staying in the testing phase.

While one business tokenised tangible collectibles valued at more than $1.5 million, another facilitated quick tipping for online creators. Other groups scaled tokenised credit products for international markets and increased access to microinsurance.

Ripple says UDAX reflects its long-term strategy of blending academic research with real-world deployment. By focusing on execution, the program positions the XRP Ledger as practical infrastructure for payments, tokenization, and institutional finance.
