KGST, a stablecoin pegged to the Kyrgyzstani som, has been listed on Binance, Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov announced on Dec. 24. The token is a government-backed initiative developed in partnership with Binance and was introduced in October 2025.
Officials have positioned KGST as a strategic tool to integrate blockchain infrastructure into Kyrgyzstan’s financial system, marking a rare instance of a national currency-linked stablecoin gaining major exchange support.
