El Salvador has announced Bitcoin Histórico, the first-ever government-sponsored Bitcoin conference, scheduled for November 12–13, 2025, in San Salvador. The National Bitcoin Office will host the two-day event across several historic venues, including the National Palace, National Library, and National Theater, with live broadcasts in the city center.
Speakers include billionaire Ricardo Salinas, author Jeff Booth, Bitcoin advocates Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert, Lightning Network builder Jack Mallers, along with Pierre Rochard, Jimmy Song, Darin Feinstein, and Lina Seiche.
El Salvador made history in 2021 by adopting Bitcoin as legal tender, a move later reversed. Yet, the upcoming event signals the nation’s continued focus on Bitcoin as a tool for financial freedom, sovereignty, and cultural expression.
The conference is drawing international attention, further cementing El Salvador’s reputation as a leader in digital currency adoption. For the global Bitcoin community, it represents a milestone in the legitimization of state-sponsored crypto dialogue.
