Gemini co-founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss have donated over $21 million worth of Bitcoin to the Digital Freedom Fund PAC, a group supporting pro-crypto policies under President Donald Trump. Tyler Winklevoss revealed in a post on X that they contributed 188 BTC to the PAC, which was formally registered with the Federal Election Commission on July 11.
The twins said their contribution is aimed at advancing legislation favorable to the crypto industry, including market structure reforms and tax exemptions for small Bitcoin transactions. They emphasized that their private and public positions on digital assets remain consistent, with a focus on unlocking crypto’s potential in the US.
The move comes more than a year before the 2026 midterm elections, where Republicans will aim to maintain control of Congress. The PAC is expected to coordinate with other pro-crypto groups and strengthen industry lobbying as US crypto policy continues to be debated.
