Databricks Secures $10 bn Funding at $62 bn Valuation.
Thrive Capital led a $10 billion funding round for Databricks, increasing its valuation to $62 billion, a 44% increase from 2023.
This marks the largest venture capital raise of 2024 and places the AI and data analytics firm as the fourth most valuable U.S.-based startup after OpenAI, SpaceX, and Stripe.
Co-investors included Andreessen Horowitz, DST Global, and others, with new backers like Iconiq Growth and Wellington Management.
Databricks plans to use the funds for AI product development, acquisitions, global expansion, and employee liquidity.
Anduril Industries Secures $1.5 bn Series F.
Anduril Industries matched its own record for the largest defense tech round ever. In August, The Costa Mesa, California-based startup locked up a $1.5 billion Series F that valued the company at $14 billion—a 69% jump from the $8.5 billion valuation it received after its massive $1.5 billion Series E in late 2022.
Founders Fund and Sands Capital co-led the round. The company plans to use some of the new proceeds to develop Arsenal-1, a more than 5 million-square-foot production space capable of producing tens of thousands of autonomous military systems annually.
Crypto-AI startup Fraction AI raises $6 mn in pre-seed funding.
Spartan Group and Symbolic Capital co-led a $6 million pre-seed funding round for Fraction AI, a crypto-AI startup that focuses on decentralizing data labeling.
Other investors in the round include Borderless Capital, Anagram, Foresight Ventures, and Karatage, Fraction AI said Wednesday. Angel investors, including Sandeep Nailwal of Polygon and Illia Polosukhin of Near Protocol, also joined the round and are “close advisors” to the project.

Blast-powered decentralized trading card game Fantasy—also known by its URL, Fantasy.top—has announced the second iteration of the platform, Fantasy V2, alongside the closing of a $4.25 million seed funding round led by Dragonfly and supported by Manifold Ventures.
Fantasy will use the new funds to enhance its core products, trading card games and fantasy betting.

Crypto data startup Accountable has raised $2.3 million in seed funding to transform the undercollateralized crypto credit space.
MitonC and Zee Prime Capital led the round, supported by angel investors Darius Rugys from Maven 11 and DCBuilder from the Worldcoin Foundation.
