The offering gives investors exposure to crypto sectors linked to decentralized financial services, AI infrastructure and blockchain-based data networks. However the funds are investment products. The funds are not publicly traded exchange-traded funds. The funds are not ETFs.
Republic co-CEO Andrew Durgee said the partnership would give investors access to products. These products are traditionally associated with investment opportunities. The platform has set an investment of $2,500 for each offering.
Grayscale DeFi & AI Funds Feature Major Crypto Tokens
The Grayscale DeFi Fund (DEFG) holds six assets that are linked to decentralized finance. This fund owns Uniswap (UNI) Aave (AAVE) Ondo (ONDO) Ethena (ENA) Curve (CRV) and Lido (LDO). These projects provide services such as decentralized trading, lending and liquid staking. They help users manage their investment in a trustless way.
The Grayscale Decentralized AI Fund gives investors exposure to Near Protocol (NEAR) Bittensor (TAO) Render (RENDER) and Filecoin (FIL). These networks support aspects of decentralized computing, AI infrastructure and data storage. By owning these tokens investors can participate in the growing field of intelligence on the blockchain.
The third offering, Grayscale Data Network Trust tracks DATA, the token of the DATA Network. The blockchain focuses on recording data ownership, licensing terms and payments for data that is used in AI training. This trust gives investors a chance to benefit from the increasing demand for data, in the AI industry.
