XRP Surpasses 6.3 mn Transactions in One Minute to Become World’s Most Traded Coin.

XRP recently achieved a remarkable milestone, processing over 6.3 million transactions in one minute, making it the most traded coin globally.

The milestone comes amid ongoing legal uncertainty surrounding Ripple’s battle with the SEC, which recently appealed a court ruling favoring Ripple.

The community reacted positively to XRP’s achievement, celebrating its potential as a fast, scalable digital asset for cross-border payments. However, some skepticism remains regarding its price performance.

Italy Plans To Raise Capital Gains Tax On Bitcoin From 26% to 42%: Report.

Italy plans to increase the capital gains tax on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from 26% to 42%, according to Vice Economy Minister Maurizio Leo.

A press conference on the country’s 2025 budget announced this change, which aims to generate resources for families, youth, and businesses.

Following a change in crypto taxation regulations, capital gains over €2,000, or $2,180, have been subject to a 26% tax since 2023.

This tax increase follows similar considerations in the UK, where Chancellor Rachel Reeves may raise capital gains taxes on cryptocurrencies from 20% to 39%.

GCC Electronic Government Ministerial Committee Approves Qatar’s Digital Asset Framework.

In the recently organized 8th GCC eGovernment Ministerial Committee meeting in Qatar, participants discussed the launch of the eGovernment Guidance Strategy (2024–2030) and approved a unified digital asset framework developed by Qatar.

The meeting emphasized cooperation among GCC countries in communications and information technology, highlighting the importance of these efforts for national economies and regional competitiveness.

The Hashgraph Association & DIFC Courts Launch Digital Assets Will Built on Hedera.

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts, alongside The Hashgraph Association and Deca4 Consultancy, launched a Digital Assets Will solution using the Hedera DLT network at GITEX Global 2024.

This service allows users to manage digital assets through a non-custodial wallet, supporting various cryptocurrencies and planned NFT standards.

The new Digital Assets Will adds to existing will types and integrates with Tejouri, a secure digital vault.

Bitcoin Dominance Soars to Three-Year Peak.

Bitcoin’s dominance in the cryptocurrency market has reached its highest level since 2021, currently at 58.76.

This increase in dominance coincides with a multi-month high in Bitcoin’s price, signaling growing investor preference for Bitcoin and related products.

However, some analysts suggest that this surge may indicate a local top for Bitcoin, potentially leading to a price correction.
