Securitize Acquires $40 bn Crypto Fund Manager Onramp

Securitize acquires Onramp Invest, a cryptocurrency fund manager with $40 billion in assets under management, to expand investor access to private market alternative assets. The acquisition aims to simplify RIA access to private equity, private credit, and secondary asset classes.

The Onramp platform manages more than $40 billion in combined assets for a network of RIAs located all across the United States as a result of the acquisition. Several well-known companies in the cryptocurrency sector are among Onramp’s clientele, including exchange-traded fund provider Global X, asset managers WisdomTree and Valkyrie Invest, and media site Coindesk.

Securitize acquires Onramp Invest, allowing RIAs to offer clients investments in alternative asset classes like private equity, private credit, and real estate. This expansion expands Securitize’s portfolio of alternative investments, providing direct access to RIAs’ portfolios.
