France Welcomes Cryptocurrency Firms
French regulators have been developing a regulatory framework to attract crypto firms fleeing the United States’ changing regulatory framework. Meanwhile, France welcomes cryptocurrency firms that cannot tolerate the regulatory environment in the United States. The officials promise a predictable regulatory environment for crypto businesses.
The EU member currently has 74 licenced cryptocurrency companies, including Bitstamp and Binance. The number could rise to more than 100 as businesses plan new moves in accordance with the European Union’s MiCA rules, which were approved earlier on Tuesday.
Benoit de Juvigny, Secretary General of the AMF, told reporters yesterday that France remains a proud pioneer in offering cryptocurrency services, citing the 2019-legislated PSAN.
