Gemini Crypto Exchange Enters India

By constructing a new office in Gurugram, the US-based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini is extending its worldwide engineering activities and aiming to make India its second-largest engineering hub.

In addition to creating new feature sets for their NFT and crypto asset marketplaces, Gemini’s engineering, design, and operations teams in India will work on developing core platform fundamentals in the areas of compliance, data pipelines and warehousing, security, and payments, the company said in a statement.

For its Gurgaon office, it is currently seeking software engineers, technical product managers, and builders to work on DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and Web3.

With Pravjit Tiwana now serving as CEO of Gemini APAC, this relocation to India is a part of its objectives for regional expansion in the Asia Pacific.

Tiwana will be in charge of introducing and growing Gemini’s goods and services in the area, managing the go-to-market (GTM) team, and taking ownership of the region’s profit and loss (P&L).

In order to implement GTM plans aimed at expanding both its individual and institutional customer base in the region, the company will be expanding its business teams in Singapore and India, as well as its product and technical teams.
