Prediction market protocol Trueo plans to move from Base to Ethereum mainnet, shifting its primary deployment as it works towards a more decentralized prediction-market infrastructure. Trueo, which launched on Base in March 2025, said Ethereum is a better fit for its long-term plans because of its network effects, global integrations and focus on decentralization.
Glad to see that Ethereum L1 will have a new strong prediction market contender that is dedicated to decentralization, and being ethical and not corposlop, and to actually trying to do interesting and meaningful things with this class of economic primitive.…

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin welcomed the move publicly on X. Trueo said the migration will also support deeper liquidity, broader financial integrations and the development of a new oracle system designed to improve the way prediction-market outcomes are resolved.
Trueo said Base had provided a useful environment for testing the platform and discovering what worked. The protocol now believes Ethereum mainnet offers a stronger foundation for the next stage of its development.
The project wants to build a prediction market that is widely accessible, permissionless and increasingly immutable. It said the decision to move to Ethereum was not a criticism of Base or its role among competing blockchain networks.

Instead, Trueo pointed to Ethereum’s large ecosystem and what it described as its position as a neutral global financial network. The protocol expects the move could provide access to deeper liquidity and a wider range of applications across crypto and traditional finance.
Trueo also plans to develop further uses for its TYD product, including potential connections with decentralized finance, oracle services and yield-generating opportunities.
A major focus of the transition will be Trueo’s oracle. The protocol said the quality of a prediction market depends heavily on how market outcomes are determined. Its oracle is designed to process evidence from different legitimate sources when deciding whether a market has reached its stated outcome.
Trueo said feedback from users over the past 18 months had strengthened its view that dispute resolution remains one of the most important challenges for prediction markets. The company said users want a resolution process that is impartial and credible.
Buterin commented on the announcement and welcomed Trueo to Ethereum, highlighting its focus on decentralization and prediction markets. The migration is intended to take place without interrupting existing operations. Users will continue to trade, resolve and redeem markets during the transition, while TYD will continue to accrue yield.
The TRUE token will remain the protocol’s native token. Holders will be able to migrate their tokens to Ethereum, while future staking and liquidity-reward programmes will take place on the network. The migration window will remain open indefinitely.
Trueo has advised users not to create new Base markets that expire after January 31, 2027. Existing Base markets will remain accessible through the official application and will continue using their current resolution system. The project’s native TRUE token rose sharply following the announcement, although cryptocurrency prices can change rapidly.
