- Block production continues as Liquid Network restarts following a $320 million exploit.
- Attackers used an Element’s weakness to create 4,000 unbacked LBTC.
- A fraudulent peg-out caused about 4,000 BTC to be taken out of the liquid reserve.
- The Liquid Network vulnerability is fixed by the Elements v23.3.4 patch, which also improves proof verification.
- According to Adam Back, as the recovery progresses, the LBTC-to-BTC 1:1 peg will be covered.
The token milestone shows that Solana is still a choice for fast and low-cost token launches. Even though the number of tokens doesn’t mean every project will be successful, it shows that developers and regular traders are still using the network a lot.
The market predicts that more than 263,000 SPL coins were created on Solana on Wednesday. Compared to the 40,000–50,000 tokens that were created each day at the peak of the memecoin movement in December 2024, this number is much higher. The new record shows how fast token creation has grown on Solana, even though general memecoin activity has slowed down from its levels.

Token launchpads allow people to create and move cryptocurrencies without deep blockchain knowledge. Token launchpads handle token creation, buying and selling and making sure there is money for trading. Token launchpads make it easier for people to start projects and memecoins.
Pump.fun Leads Solana Launchpad Activity
Pump.fun remained the dominant launchpad behind the latest wave of token creation. According to Blockworks’ dashboard, 40,360 tokens were created through launchpads, with Pump. fun accounting for 34,184 of them. That puts the Solana-native memecoin platform well ahead of other launchpads by token issuance.
Pump.fun has become a major part of Solana’s retail trading ecosystem by lowering the barriers to launching memecoins. Its model allows creators to bring new tokens to market quickly, contributing to the rapid expansion of Solana’s token ecosystem.
Pump.fun Continues To Generate Strong Revenue
The token creation boom also comes as Pump.fun continues to post strong revenue numbers. Pump.fun is the Solana‑native protocol for daily income. Pump.fun earned $1.8 million in revenue over the last 24 hours, according to DeFiLlama. I was amazed to see Pump.fun reach such a figure.
Friday Fomo, a Solana‑based trading program that mixes bitcoin trading with social media‑like features, momentarily overtook Pump.fun. Fomo’s brief surge showed how quickly changes can happen in the Solana ecosystem.
Pump.fun’s broader financial impact on the Solana ecosystem has also been significant. The platform generated $124 million during the first quarter of 2026, accounting for roughly one-third of Solana’s total $342 million revenue for the period.
