  • The market value of RLUSD crosses $2 billion, which is a significant development milestone for Ripple’s stablecoin.
  • With around $963 million in RLUSD, XRPL’s supply is almost at $1 billion. Ethereum has significantly more RLUSD than the XRP Ledger, with about $1.1 billion.
  • As of August 25, there are over 2.02 billion RLUSD tokens in circulation. According to RWA.xyz data, RLUSD recorded a 30-day transfer volume of roughly $11.81 billion.

Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin has surpassed $2 billion in market capitalization, marking another major milestone for the dollar-pegged asset. According to RWA.xyz data, RLUSD reached approximately $2.02 billion in total value as of August 25, with nearly $963 million issued on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

Ripple said in an X post on Tuesday that RLUSD crossed the $2 billion market-cap milestone during the previous week, while its supply on XRPL approached $1 billion.

RWA.xyz data shows that Ethereum holds roughly $1.1 billion of RLUSD, giving the network a slightly larger share than XRPL. The distribution highlights RLUSD’s growing presence across both blockchain ecosystems rather than concentrating its supply on a single network.

RLUSD Supply & Activity Continue To Grow

RLUSD’s circulating supply stood at around 2.02 billion tokens on August 25. The stablecoin is designed to maintain a value close to $1, allowing users and institutions to move dollar-denominated value across blockchain networks.

RWA.xyz recorded approximately 84,630 RLUSD holders and about 1.39 million monthly transfers. The value transferred during the previous 30 days reached roughly $11.81 billion.

However, transfer volume should not be treated as a direct measure of payments or economic settlement. Blockchain transfers can include movements between personal wallets, exchanges, custodians, and other addresses.

Activity metrics also showed mixed trends. Monthly transfer volume increased by nearly 17% over 30 days, while trailing 30-day active addresses declined by approximately 25.2% to about 8,252.

The data shows that more value moved on-chain even as the number of active addresses decreased. It does not establish why the change occurred or how much activity represented payments, trading, liquidity management, or institutional settlement.

Ripple Advances RLUSD Infrastructure

The milestone follows Ripple’s testing of a proposed permission-delegation feature for RLUSD on XRPL. The feature is designed to separate operational permissions, potentially allowing functions such as minting, compliance, and security management to be handled independently.

Separately, Ripple Prime recently secured $275 million through a financing as it expanded its U.S. digital-asset operations. The financing and RLUSD’s market-capitalization growth are separate developments.
