- As part of its Ethereum treasury strategy, SharpLink intends to stake $200 million in ETH via Lido.
- In exchange for the ETH allocation, the corporation will get wrapped staked ETH, or wstETH.
- SharpLink’s staked assets will be under the care of Anchorage Digital. By doing this, SharpLink is able to maintain its holdings’ usability across DeFi while earning Ethereum staking incentives.
SharpLink is expanding its Ethereum treasury strategy with plans to stake around $200 million worth of ETH through Lido, one of the largest liquid staking protocols on Ethereum.
According to the company, SharpLink will receive wrapped staked ETH (wstETH) for the allocation. Anchorage Digital will provide custody for the assets.
The move allows SharpLink to earn potential Ethereum staking rewards while holding wstETH, which can also be used across decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.
SharpLink Expands ETH Staking Strategy

Our partnership gives us access to enhanced onchain yield, while the underlying ETH keeps earning staking rewards.

Under the planned transaction, SharpLink will stake about $200 million in ETH through Lido. In return, it will receive wstETH, a liquid staking token that represents staked Ether and its rewards.
Unlike traditional ETH staking, liquid staking gives companies access to a token that can be used in other onchain applications. This gives SharpLink more flexibility while it continues to earn staking-related returns.
Joseph Chalom, CEO of SharpLink, said the move will help make the company’s ETH holdings more productive while maintaining its focus on institutional risk standards.
The Lido allocation will also add to SharpLink’s existing staking and restaking activities.
Ethereum Price Adds Market Context
Ethereum has a trading volume of around $6.3 billion USD in just one day. The total value of Ethereum is about $226 billion USD. Now the price of Ethereum is around $1,875 USD, which is about ₹179,000 INR, at the time of writing. There is a lot of talk about Ethereum, and people are discussing things like staking and Treasury rebalancing.
Because of this, the price of Ethereum has gone down a bit, around 0.8% to 1%, in the last day. Ethereum prices are still changing. Ethereum is a thing to watch.
Liquid Staking Comes With Risks
While liquid staking can generate additional returns, it also carries risks. SharpLink reported a $394.3 million net loss in the second quarter of 2026, partly linked to Ethereum revaluation losses and impairment charges on liquid staking token holdings.
The latest move shows that SharpLink remains focused on putting its Ethereum treasury to work through staking, restaking, and DeFi.
However, the strategy still depends heavily on Ethereum’s market performance and carries additional smart contract, liquidity, and counterparty risks.
