xStocks, the tokenized stock platform linked to Payward, the parent company of Kraken, is bringing more than 1,100 tokenized US stocks and ETFs directly to the Monad blockchain. The announcement was made at Monad’s Open conference in Singapore on October 6. Unlike a simple bridge between blockchains, the new system will allow xStocks to issue and settle its tokens directly on Monad.

This means that users and other blockchain applications will not have to depend only on bridges to move tokenized stocks to Monad. The move could also help decentralized exchanges, lending platforms and crypto wallets on Monad use tokenized stocks more easily. Users could get exposure to shares through blockchain-based applications.

xStocks offers tokens that represent US stocks and ETFs on a one-to-one basis. The tokens can be transferred and used in decentralised finance applications.

The platform says its products are available in more than 110 countries. They can also be traded 24 hours a day, and investors can buy them in small amounts starting from $1. xStocks has already recorded more than $25 billion in transaction volume. Its platform lists more than 1,100 stocks and ETFs.

Monad is a relatively new blockchain network. Its mainnet went live in November 2025. Since then, the network has attracted more users and applications, with its total value locked crossing $400 million.

The blockchain also has a growing supply of stablecoins. This is important for tokenized stocks because investors need stablecoins to buy and sell these digital versions of shares.

The xStocks move comes at a time when several companies are trying to bring traditional financial assets onto blockchain networks. Aave governance has also discussed a possible Aave V4 deployment on Monad that could include tokenized stocks.

There are some risks, however. Tokenized stocks do not give investors voting rights in the companies whose shares they represent. There can also be delays in creating or redeeming tokens when the traditional stock market is closed.

The availability of the products will also depend on the investor’s country and local rules. For now, the announcement marks an important step for Monad as it tries to build a bigger role in the growing tokenized asset market.
