Strategy has launched a new employee perk that would allow qualifying children of its U.S. employees to receive yearly contributions to Trump Accounts. The initiative will start after employer contribution systems are made accessible and the U.S. Treasury publishes final advice, according to the Bitcoin Treasury Company.

Every qualified youngster under the age of 18 who works for Strategy in the United States will get a $250 annual contribution to Trump Accounts. Additionally, the business intends to match the U.S. government’s seed contribution for qualified children with a one-time $1,000 donation.

The company has joined companies that have promised to support the Trump Accounts effort, including Coinbase, Circle, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Through tax-advantaged accounts connected to U.S. stock index funds, the initiative aims to promote long-term investment for kids.

According to strategy, employer contributions won’t start until the U.S. Treasury has finished its implementation. The corporation stated that the availability of final guidelines and the necessary infrastructure are prerequisites for participation.

“Trump Accounts and the Invest America initiative can help build a stronger financial future for America’s children.” “These accounts can encourage financial education, long-term thinking, and a culture of saving and investing from an early age,” stated Phong Le, Chief Executive Officer of Strategy.

Strategy was still making changes to its Bitcoin treasury when the statement was made. According to an SEC filing, the business sold 1,638 BTC at an average price of $63,957 during the previous week. After the deal, Strategy had 842,138 Bitcoin that had been purchased for $63.51 billion, or $75,419 on average.

Trump Accounts are personal retirement accounts designed to promote long-term investing for kids. A $1,000 donation from the U.S. Treasury is available to children born between 2025 and 2028.

The accounts are anticipated to make investments in exchange-traded funds or mutual funds that follow the S&P 500 or another index with a primary emphasis on U.S. stocks. A number of financial companies have pledged to assist the project through employer contribution schemes, as Coingape previously reported.

Additionally, strategy has historically backed the political ambitions of President Donald Trump. In January 2025, Coinbase and Circle each contributed $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund, while the firm, originally known as MicroStrategy, gave $1 million to the Trump-aligned MAGA Inc. political action group.

This action is indicative of large firms’ increasing involvement in investment-focused finance programs for bitcoin trading platforms.

What Is Trump Accounts?

The U.S. government launched Trump Accounts, a new kind of tax-advantaged investment account, as part of the Invest America program. The program’s goal is to promote long-term investment and saving by allowing kids to start accumulating money at a young age. Instead of functioning like a typical savings account, the money is invested in broad U.S. stock market index funds, which enable it to grow over time through long-term market performance.

The U.S. government is offering a $1,000 seed payment to children born between 2025 and 2028. Parents, family, and employers may also make additional contributions to the account, according to the program’s rules. For instance, as part of their employee perks, a number of businesses, such as Strategy, Coinbase, and other significant financial corporations, have declared intentions to make contributions to the accounts of qualified employees’ children.

It is anticipated that the monies in Trump Accounts would be allocated to inexpensive mutual funds or exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that follow the S&P 500 or another broad index of the U.S. stock market. The goal is to promote financial literacy, disciplined saving, and wealth development from a young age while assisting kids in reaping the benefits of long-term investment growth.

The initiative aims to foster a culture of long-term investing and provide young Americans an early financial foundation. The project aims to provide youngsters with a head start in developing future financial stability by combining government seed financing with voluntary contributions from families and businesses.
