Nefta Gets Seed Fund At $32.5 mn Valuation
Nefta, a web3 infrastructure startup focusing on the gaming and entertainment industries, has raised $5 million in seed funding.
Play Ventures led the round with a $2.5 million investment from its Future Fund, Nefta announced on February 15th. Polygon Ventures, SevenX Ventures, Sfermion, and Picus Capital were among the other investors in the round.
According to founder and CEO Geeshan Willink, Nefta is now worth $32.5 million. In the last eight months, its valuation has increased by 225%. According to Willink, Nefta was valued at $10 million when it raised $1 million in pre-seed funding from Picus Capital last June.
The seed round brings Nefta’s total funding to date to $6 million. As part of the deal, Kenrick Drijkoningen, general partner at Play Ventures, will join the Nefta board, said Willink.
