- Injective launched a perpetual futures market on mainnet tied to the rental prices of five Nvidia GPU models, with up to 10x leverage and USDC as margin.
- The benchmark, called the Super Intelligence Compute Index (SICI), covers the H100 (40%), B200 (25%), H200 (15%), A100 (10%), and RTX 4090 (10%).
- London-based capital markets firm LO:TECH builds and prices the index using data from compute marketplaces, with hourly readings and a seven-day trailing average.
- The product allows AI developers to hedge rising GPU rental costs and infrastructure providers to hedge against falling rental revenue.
Injective, the layer-1 blockchain network focused on decentralized finance applications, launched a perpetual futures market on its mainnet that tracks the rental prices of five Nvidia graphics processing units.
The next major financial market for AI is the price of compute.
Today, Injective is officially releasing the Super Intelligence Compute Index ($SICI), bringing a new financial primitive to the onchain AI economy.
For the first time on Injective, traders can access a diversified index of @nvidia GPU rental prices through perpetuals with up to 10x leverage. We also plan to introduce a brand new financial primitive to access $SICI in the coming days.
🟪 A New Onchain Market for the Agentic Economy
Trillions are set to be invested into AI infrastructure. From frontier model training to autonomous agents and inference, demand for compute is becoming one of the defining forces shaping the AI industry. This trend is only accelerating with giants like @OpenAI and @AnthropicAI surging in demand.
Yet financial markets for compute remain largely underdeveloped, with rental prices fragmented across cloud providers and hardware generations.
$SICI changes that. SICI brings five NVIDIA GPU rental rates together into a single onchain benchmark. The index consists of the following:
→ H100 (Industry standard for AI training): 40%
→ B200 (Next-generation AI training and inference): 25%
→ H200 (High-memory AI training and inference): 15%
→ A100 (Fine-tuning and AI inference): 10%
→ RTX 4090 (Consumer GPU for affordable AI inference): 10%
Using hourly compute marketplace data, SICI creates a novel way to access and trade the economics of AI infrastructure.
🌏 Injective is building the onchain financial markets of tomorrow
Injective pioneered the first onchain H100 rental market, launched the $AIX index, and introduced pre-IPO perpetuals for companies including OpenAI, @SpaceX and Anthropic.
$SICI takes this vision further.
First, Injective brought market exposure to the companies building the future of AI onchain.
Now, we’re bringing the cost of the infrastructure powering them onchain too. And we will soon be launching entirely new financial primitives to access the onchain agentic economy.
The AI economy is creating entirely new asset classes. Injective is building the financial markets to access them for the first time onchain.

The market, built around a benchmark called the Super Intelligence Compute Index (SICI), offers up to 10x leverage and uses USDC as the margin currency, with the contract available for integration into applications across Injective’s ecosystem.
Index Composition & Weighting
The SICI contains five Nvidia GPUs weighted on the basis of their relevance in terms of artificial intelligence computations: the H100 SXM 80GB (40%), the B200 (25%), the H200 (15%), the A100 SXM 80GB (10%), and the GeForce RTX 4090 (10%).

The inclusion of the RTX 4090 in the index was necessitated by its prevalence in renting for developers using open-source models as well as smaller AI computations.
LO:TECH Methodology & Pricing
London-based capital markets firm LO:TECH builds and prices the SICI benchmark. Reference prices are denominated in U.S. dollars per GPU-hour, drawn from on-demand and spot listings on major compute marketplaces, with each marketplace counted once per chip type. Observations pass validation and outlier checks before inclusion.
Each GPU’s price is rebased to 100 at the July 22, 2026, daily fixing, with an hourly reading in UTC and a published trailing seven-day average of the weighted basket. The 19:00 UTC reading serves as the daily fixing value.
Hedging Use Cases & Industry Context
Injective says the market gives AI developers a tool to hedge rising compute costs, and GPU infrastructure providers a way to hedge falling rental revenue. Developers frequently rent GPUs from cloud providers such as CoreWeave and Nebius rather than owning hardware outright.
The launch expands Injective’s August 2025 H100-only rental derivative market. Gartner warned in October that more than 80% of specialist AI cloud providers, known as neoclouds, could cease independent operations by 2030, a consolidation pressure that adds relevance to compute cost hedging tools.
