Govt Launches AI Chatbot For PM-Kisan Scheme

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare has launched an AI chatbot for the PM-KISAN scheme, marking the first of its kind to be integrated with a major central government flagship scheme. The chatbot, launched by Kailash Choudhary, was presented by Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Additional Agriculture Secretary Pramod Meherda. The ministry said the AI chatbot launch is a significant step towards enhancing the efficiency and reach of the PM-KISAN scheme, providing farmers with prompt, clear, and accurate responses to their queries.

With the help of the EkStep foundation and Bhashini, the PM-KISAN grievance management system has introduced an AI Chatbot to give farmers a user-friendly platform for information about their application status, payment information, and ineligibility status. The chatbot, which can be accessed through the PM-KISAN mobile application, is integrated with Bhashini, a platform that provides multilingual support to meet the linguistic and regional diversity of beneficiaries. Integrating cutting-edge technology improves transparency and gives farmers the ability to make wise decisions. With plans to support all 22 of the nation’s official languages, the chatbot is currently accessible in English, Hindi, Bengali, Odia, and Tamil.
