Google Launches $20 mn Fund To Support AI
The Digital Futures Project, an initiative started by Google, aims to unite a variety of voices in support of initiatives to comprehend and address the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence (AI).
In order to promote the responsible development of AI, the company will fund researchers, host gatherings, and promote discussion of public policy solutions through this project.
Google.org is launching a $20 million Digital Futures Fund to support global think tanks and academic institutions. The fund will provide grants to facilitate dialogue and inquiry into the technology, with the inaugural grantees including the Aspen Institute, Brookings Institution, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Center for a New American Security, and SeedAI. Google plans to share more information about these organizations in the coming months. The fund will support institutions from various countries worldwide.
