  • Binance applied for a Brazilian crypto license through BBrasil ahead of the October 30 regulatory deadline.
  • Brazil’s new crypto rules have led Binance to restrict eight services and delist 22 tokens for Brazilian users.
  • Affected services include Margin, Loans, Binance Pool, Launchpool, Megadrop, and Alpha 2.0.

Binance has applied for a crypto license in Brazil by the October 30 deadline. The exchange is limiting eight services. Removing 22 tokens to meet the country’s new virtual asset rules.

Binance made the application through its unit, BBrasil, with Brazil’s Central Bank. This step aligns with the country’s plan to create a regulatory structure for crypto businesses.

According to media reports published on October 26, the application was filed on October 23. The move follows Binance’s decision to restrict services for users in Brazil starting October 27. These changes are in response to Resolutions 519, 520, and 521.

Binance Applies For Brazil Crypto License Ahead Of Deadline

Thiago Sarandy, Binance manager in Brazil, confirmed the application in an interview with Exame. The approval would let BBrasil offer permitted asset services, such as crypto trading, stablecoin transactions, payments, and investments.

Sarandy said Binance wants to build a financial platform in Brazil, possibly offering products that are not available through traditional banks.

The application does not guarantee approval. Under Brazil’s rules, existing virtual asset service providers must submit applications by October 30 to keep operating under temporary arrangements while the Central Bank reviews their requests.

Binance previously obtained brokerage approval in Brazil by buying Sim Paul, which received Central Bank approval in 2024.

Eight Binance Services Restricted For Brazilian Users

From October 27, Binance is restricting eight services for Brazilian residents to align with the new regulatory requirements.

The affected products are:

  • Loans
  • Binance Pool
  • Cloud Mining
  • Margin trading
  • Launchpool
  • Megadrop
  • HODLer Airdrops
  • Alpha 2.0

Existing positions in products can be closed or repaid without extra fees or penalties. However, new positions are blocked.

The exchange is also delisting twenty‑two tokens from trading in Brazil, including XVG, USDE, USTC, DCR, GMT, ZIL, ONT, RVN, and STORJ. These changes affect users. Affected balances remain subject to the withdrawal or reinvestment options. Additional verification requirements for crypto transfers will begin on November 1.
