The Miami-based Bitcoin accumulation platform American Bitcoin Corp., which Eric Trump co-founded, posted a $57.2 million net loss for the second quarter of 2026, according to data made public prior to Monday’s market opening.

Even while the amount dropped from the $81.8 million loss reported in Q1, the bottom line remained extremely negative since a $71.2 million non-cash loss on digital assets absorbed almost all of its operating income.

Out of the gate, shares moved very little. The company’s market capitalization was close to $402 million as ABTC was trading at about $5.53 in the pre-market session, practically unchanged from Friday’s finish of $5.52.

The activity, however, comes against a harsh one-year chart: the post-split stock has traded in a 52-week range of $5.04 to $217.80, and even with the announcement of Q2 data, the equity is still down more than 95% from its post-listing highs.

The company’s official Q2 2026 news statement states that mining revenue increased from $62.1 million in Q1 to $67 million, an increase of almost 8% quarter over quarter. Production volume, not pricing power, was the driving force behind the growth. Up from 817 BTC in Q1, American Bitcoin mined over 932 BTC throughout the quarter, its biggest quarterly production ever.

Although management noted that the loss was far smaller than the roughly 12% decline in Bitcoin’s market price over the same period, revenue per Bitcoin produced still decreased by around 5% to about $71,900.

The strategic reserve kept growing quickly. American Bitcoin had around 8,002 BTC at the end of the quarter, up 14% from 7,021 at the end of March. According to the filing footnotes, about 3,090 BTC of that amount are pledged as collateral under miner-purchase agreements with BITMAIN.

The company’s chosen accumulation statistic, Satoshis per Share, increased from 9,943 to 10,989, an increase of around 11% from the previous quarter. While the number of shares increased by just 3%, Bitcoin holdings increased by 14%, resulting in true per-share accretion. The 1-for-15 reverse stock split that was carried out on July 2, 2026, in an attempt to raise the share price beyond Nasdaq’s $1 minimum bid level after ABTC fell more than 95% from its post-listing peak, is also included in the statistic.

In Q2, the cost to mine was around $36,500 per Bitcoin, which was largely unchanged from $36,200 in Q1. The minor increase was ascribed by management to a few facilities’ marginally higher energy expenses. Even though Bitcoin’s market price dropped 12% over that time, the gross margin remained close to the 50% mark, which the business presented as proof of operational discipline rather than a pricing tailwind.
