What is Fortnite?

Fortnite, built by Epic Games, is a survival game where some 100 players drop onto an island and fight to be the last player standing as a storm closes in around them, forcing everyone closer together. It was released in 2017 and since then it’s been a sensation that’s grown to millions of registered players. It made people feel connected to friends and family during lockdown. It serves as a great escape where people can meet up, hang out, and chat. No other game has lowered the barrier as much as Fortnite which leads to more and more people trying it because they do not need to pay anything. A lot of users say that Epic Games has built the best version of the metaverse with Fortnite as it provides a great experience to them.
