Key Takeaways

  • Bitdeer Technologies Group launched the SEALMINER DL1 Air, a new crypto mining machine designed for the Scrypt algorithm.
  • The device supports merged mining, allowing miners to earn rewards from both Litecoin and Dogecoin at the same time.
  • The miner delivers a hashrate of about 25 GH/s with power efficiency of around 149 J/GH in normal mode.
  • It offers three operating modes: Normal Mode, High Hashrate Mode, and Low Power Mode for flexible mining performance.

What happens when one machine mines two cryptocurrencies together? The announcement shows that Bitdeer Technologies Group is now producing more of its own mining devices using ASIC chips from the SEAL series. The Scrypt algorithm is functional with the DL1 Air. Merged mining is made possible by this.

This allows miners to simultaneously collect rewards from Dogecoin and Litecoin without incurring additional fees. This device was constructed by the company to mine cryptocurrency using the Scrypt algorithm. Dogecoin and Litecoin are two of these coins.

The new miner allows users to simultaneously receive rewards from many blockchains. The term “merged mining” describes this procedure. Miners can equally earn rewards in Dogecoin while working on Litecoin.

For this, they don’t require additional processing power. As a result, miners can profit from two networks using a single machine. Mining becomes simpler and more effective as a result.

3 Operating Modes For Flexible Mining

Large mining farms can benefit from the powerful SEALMINER DL1 Air. The machine has a hashrate of roughly 25 GH/s in regular mode. Additionally, it operates with a power efficiency of roughly 149 J/GH.

The miner consumes approximately 3725 watts of power. It has three modes of operation that allow miners to modify the machine’s performance. Low Power Mode, High Hashrate Mode, and Normal Mode are these three configurations.

Depending on their requirements, miners can operate the SEALMINER DL1 Air in a variety of ways. The miner operates with balanced speed and energy consumption when in Normal Mode. This setting maintains a consistent power consumption while assisting the machine in operating properly.

Cooling Technology For Long Mining Hours

The miner concentrates on better performance in High Hashrate Mode. The device does more computations and operates more quickly. This enables miners to process more blocks and boost their mining power.

Miners that want to save electricity can use the device’s Low Power Mode. The hashrate drops to 20.5 GH/s while the energy efficiency rises to 136 J/GH. The machine uses power more wisely. As a result, mines can continue to operate while lowering their electricity costs.

Advanced air-cooling technology from the SEALMINER series is also used in the SEALMINER DL1 Air. This cooling system regulates temperature by removing heat from the equipment. The miner can thus work for extended periods without overheating.

The machine weighs about 15.5 kg and measures 197 × 365 × 292 mm. Because of their reduced size, mining farms can locate numerous units in a single location.

Conclusion

Bitdeer Technologies Group’s progress in the cryptocurrency mining sector is demonstrated by the introduction of the SEALMINER DL1 Air. When Jihan Wu created the business, it was heavily involved in Bitcoin mining.

To go even further, it is currently developing its own chips and machinery. The new miner gives miners additional opportunities to earn rewards by supporting combined mining for Dogecoin and Litecoin.

Following the debut, the company’s stock increased on the NASDAQ: BTDR, indicating that investors were also very interested. All things considered, this new device demonstrates how mining technology is advancing and enabling miners to operate more effectively and intelligently.
