BTC Range Bound Amid Policy Uncertainty

Bitcoin (BTC) is trading within a narrow range following last week’s strong rally as market attention is focused on two upcoming events the deadline for former President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” (OBBB) this Friday and the expiration of the current U.S. tariff pause on July 9—both of which could inject fresh volatility into markets.

Trump’s OBBB passed the Senate on Tuesday with a narrow 51-50 vote and now returns to the House. The administration aims to finalize the budget deal by Friday.

With the tariff pause also set to expire shortly, the outcome of these developments may dictate whether fiscal stimulus or trade uncertainty becomes the dominant theme, directly impacting BTC’s direction.

Investor hesitation is already evident in spot Bitcoin ETF flows. On Tuesday, U.S.-based spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $342.2 million in outflows, ending a 15-day streak of consistent inflows since June 9.

Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) is holding steady near $2,445, supported by robust Layer 2 adoption and growing network utility. Ethereum now boasts over 20 million active addresses, signaling demand that extends beyond short-term trading activity.

In corporate news:

· DDC Enterprise Limited completed a landmark $528 million funding round aimed solely at expanding its Bitcoin holdings.

· UK-based The Smarter Web Company added 230.05 BTC (worth $24.7 million at ~$107,126 per BTC) to its treasury, bringing total holdings to 773.58 BTC (valued at over $82.6 million).

Altcoins & Market Movers.

Solana (SOL) fell nearly 2%, trading around $149, just ahead of the anticipated REX-Osprey SOL + Staking ETF launch—an important milestone for the SOL ecosystem.

DeFi Development Corp. announced plans to raise $100 million via convertible senior notes due 2030. The proceeds will partly fund a share buyback and also support potential Solana (SOL) acquisitions.

Tokens such as HYPE, BCH, SUI, TON, XLM, and LINK are all in the red, down 2–3% in today’s trading session.

PENGU bucked the broader trend, surging 45.2% over the past week. The rally is attributed to renewed interest in NFTs and growing excitement around Pudgy Penguins.

AI Crypto Setback: Trump’s revised OBBB no longer includes a 10-year moratorium on AI regulation. This change has negatively impacted AI-related crypto tokens, with both trading volumes and market caps dropping over 5% in the past 24 hours.

Outlook: Eyes on US Jobs Data.

Markets are now looking ahead to key U.S. macro data, including the Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) report due Thursday. This release could influence the market’s outlook on interest rates and, by extension, affect overall crypto sentiment.
