American Bitcoin Corp. (ABTC), co-founded by Eric Trump and majority-owned by miner Hut 8, expanded its bitcoin reserves by 416 BTC during the week ending Dec. 8, taking its total holdings to 4,783 bitcoin.
Trump noted that the firm’s benchmark metric, Satoshis Per Share (SPS), climbed to 507—an increase of more than 17% within a little over a month.
Despite a slight recovery, ABTC shares have not fully rebounded from the 50% flash crash on Dec. 2, triggered by unlocked private placement shares.
Meanwhile, Anthony Pompliano’s ProCap Financial, which recently completed its SPAC merger, added 49 BTC, reaching the significant 5,000-coin mark.
The purchase generated a realized loss that could offset future taxable gains. Although BRR stock is up modestly, it remains down more than 60% over the past several days.
Data from bitcointreasuries.net shows that BRR and ABTC now stand as the 21st and 22nd largest publicly traded bitcoin-holding companies globally.
