Block Inc.’s Square has launched Bitcoin payment support for over 4 million merchants globally, offering zero-fee transactions through 2027. Announced by CEO Jack Dorsey, the update allows sellers to receive payments in BTC or fiat via the Square dashboard.
Merchants can choose btc-to-btc, fiat-to-btc, or other combinations for settlement. Industry leaders say the move brings Bitcoin further into mainstream commerce.
With Bitcoin trading around $105,000, the rollout reflects growing confidence in crypto’s role in global payments and Dorsey’s long-term vision of Bitcoin as digital money.
