Metaplanet Climbs To Fifth Largest Corporate Bitcoin Treasury

Metaplanet, also called Asia’s Strategy, has emerged as the fifth-largest corporate Bitcoin treasury following its latest acquisition of 5,419 BTC worth more than $632 million. The company paid an average of $116,724 per coin, lifting its overall Bitcoin stash to 25,555 BTC valued at nearly $3 billion. This development places Metaplanet ahead of Bullish crypto exchange in total holdings, according to Bitcoin Treasuries data.

So far, Metaplanet has invested nearly $2.71 billion at an average purchase price of $106,065 per BTC, resulting in unrealized profits of almost $290 million after the most recent buy. The company also reported a quarter-to-date BTC yield of 10.3%. CEO Simon Gerovich celebrated the milestone on X, noting that Metaplanet’s Bitcoin strategy has delivered an impressive 395.1% yield year-to-date 2025.

Despite its strong crypto push, the company’s stock dipped 0.50% to 605 JPY after last week’s rebound, showing mixed investor sentiment around the bold strategy.
