The Smarter Web Company PLC has acquired an additional 295 bitcoin at an average cost of £89,000 each, investing £26.3 million. This brings its total holdings to 2,395 BTC, bought at an average of £82,399 per coin, with a cumulative outlay of £197.3 million.

The London-listed technology firm, known for web design and online marketing, has embedded bitcoin into its 10-year corporate strategy, which includes ongoing treasury purchases.

The company began accepting bitcoin payments in 2023 and sees the cryptocurrency as central to the future financial system. It reported an internal calculation showing a 55,069% year-to-date return and a 76% gain over the past month from its bitcoin holdings.

While the company remains committed to its strategy, the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority continues to warn that bitcoin investments carry high risk and extreme volatility. Smarter Web trades on AQUIS Exchange, OTCQB, and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, maintaining flexibility for further bitcoin acquisitions.
