DEA Seizes Largest Crypto From The Dark Web
The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has seized the largest haul of cryptocurrency from an illegal network involved in selling narcotics through the dark web.
Indian national Banmeet Singh pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute controlled substances and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
His illicit enterprise involved at least eight distribution networks in the US, strategically dispersed across multiple states.
Singh operated vendor marketing sites under the pseudonym ‘Liston’, offering controlled substances like fentanyl, LSD, ecstasy, Xanax, Ketamine, and Tramadol. He was arrested in London in 2019 and extradited in 2023.
