Peckshield Uncovers Vulnerabilities
The Deploying American Blockchains Act, a 13-page legislation, has been approved by the U.S. House of Representatives committee, marking a small step towards supporting crypto. The bill, which would direct the U.S. secretary of commerce to support blockchain technology, is part of several other crypto bills that have cleared committee votes on the way to the House floor.
The bill, which is not yet a counterpart in the U.S. Senate, is a significant step towards promoting the competitiveness of the United States related to the deployment, use, application, and competitiveness of blockchain technology or other distributed ledger technology. The Democrat-controlled chamber has not rushed to embrace any of the digital assets bills, making negotiations with other efforts to merge them into larger must-pass legislation the best bet for such bills.
