‘Cloud, AI Can Unlock ₹1.6 tn For Small Biz’
A report by Accenture predicts that small businesses in India that adopt AI and cloud technologies will generate up to ₹1.6 trillion in annual productivity gains and create 45.9 million jobs by 2030. These jobs are expected to be created in healthcare, education, and agriculture sectors, accounting for 9% of total jobs in the country. The current rate of cloud adoption for all businesses is 28%.
A report by AWS suggests that cloud-enabled small businesses in India can unlock ₹1.1 trillion in annual productivity benefits in agriculture, ₹199.5 billion in annual productivity benefits in healthcare, and ₹291.6 billion in education by 2030. This is in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The report also highlights the potential for cloud-enabled small businesses to support 47 million telehealth consultations and provide e-learning solutions to 99 million students in India.
