Nokia Launches AI, ML-Powered Solution
In an effort to strategically increase its market dominance in the enterprise sector, the Finnish telecom equipment manufacturer Nokia has introduced a software solution called Enterprise Edge Charging to drive monetisation capabilities for smart cities, utilities, and railway verticals.
In order to provide businesses more control over network data that is collected and evaluated at the edge, Nokia said that its new charging solution leverages machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).
Nokia has announced its Enterprise Edge Charging software, which allows enterprises and CSPs to charge for services at the edge of their 5G networks. The solution is designed around a microservices-based architecture that can be deployed in any cloud and infrastructure environment. It can be sold directly to enterprises or public sector entities, or to telecom operators, which can charge their enterprise customers. By the end of the year, the solution is anticipated to be made commercially available. This is a significant announcement as 5G advanced, edge services, and IoT applications are on the rise.
