Driverless Car AI Software Helm.ai Raises $55 mn
Germany’s Dusseldorf is now home to the first international office of US firm Helm.ai, which is creating AI tools for the creation of autonomous vehicles.
This comes after a $55 million Series C funding round led by the Freeman Group, which also included the strategic investments of Honda Motor, Goodyear Ventures, and Sungwoo Hitech.
Advanced driving assistance (ADAS) and L4 driverless car systems are supported by hardware-independent AI software from Helm.ai, which is made available to OEMs and Tier 1 firms. This week, the business is in Munich for the IAA auto exhibition.
