Binance To Implement Lightning Network
Binance stated on June 20 that it had begun operating nodes on the Bitcoin Lightning Network, a critical step towards integrating it for deposits and withdrawals.
Binance acknowledged users who observed their new Lightning nodes and confirmed their availability in a tweet. Binance, on the other hand, stated that extra technical work must be performed before the Lightning integration can be completely implemented, promising to provide updates along the way.
In reaction to the Bitcoin network congestion on May 7, Binance announced intentions to utilise the Lightning Network to relieve bottlenecks. Binance acknowledged its continued efforts to facilitate BTC Lightning Network withdrawals in a tweet, recognising the network’s potential in such instances. The increased congestion was primarily caused by a surge in BRC-20 transactions, with the popularity of memecoins being a contributing factor.
