BTC Miner CleanSpark To Buy 2 Georgia Facilities

CleanSpark (CLSK), a Nasdaq-listed bitcoin mining company, has agreed to buy two facilities in Dalton, Georgia, for $9.3 million in cash.

According to an emailed release, the facilities will house over 6,000 Bitmain Antminer S19 XPs and S19J Pro+s and are estimated to add slightly under 1 exahash per second to CleanSpark’s hashrate.

CleanSpark’s goal is to have 16 EH/s of electricity by the end of 2023, which this acquisition would “ensure [they] have more than enough infrastructure to reach,” according to CEO Zach Bradford.

Its recent major acquisition was 45,000 new Bitmain Antminer S19 XPs for $144.9 million in April.
