Thodex Founder Detained In Turkey
The drama of Turkish cryptocurrency exchange Thodex continues, with the platform’s founder eventually returned home two years after trading ceased.
Faruk Fatih Ozer, the creator and former CEO of Thodex, has been extradited from Albania to Turkey.
Local police seized the 27-year-old upon his arrival at Istanbul Airport on April 20 on suspicion of fraud and money laundering.
According to the report, the jet carrying Ozer took off from the Albanian city of Tirana in the morning and arrived at Istanbul Airport, where he was taken into custody by the Istanbul Airport Police Department. The detained founder is expected to undergo health check-ups and then will be taken to the Istanbul Police Department.
