India To Host NFT, Metaverse Security Conference
The Ministry of Home Affairs is planning a conference on international crime and security in the age of NFT, AI, and the Metaverse. The conference, which is expected to take place in the second week of July in the national capital region, will be attended by all G20 countries.
According to conference organisers, this will be India’s second global conference following the ‘No Money for Terror’ (NMFT) conference.
According to sources, the conference will include delegations from 20 countries, global organisations combating various types of crime, global and Indian tech titans, and top-level officials such as DGPs and state chief secretaries. Union home minister Amit Shah is likely to chair the conference on the first day. This will be the second big conference on security and crime hosted by India.
According to sources, there will be brainstorming sessions on key issues such as the links between NFT and money laundering. Many countries are concerned about the use of NFTs for money laundering and terrorist financing.
Discussions will also take place at the conference about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in detecting crime and security flaws. Armies all over the world have begun to use AI for a variety of purposes.
