Eagle Bitcoin ATM has installed a Bitcoin ATM in Australia that supports Bitcoin Lightning. According to a press release, the Lightning network allows users to buy Bitcoin cheaply and quickly.
Eagle Bitcoin ATM is located in Coolangatta’s The Strand Shopping Center.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer this innovative service to the Australian public,” Amanda Alex, director of Eagle Bitcoin ATM, said in the release “The addition of Lightning capability to our ATMs makes it even easier for users to buy and sell Bitcoin, and we are confident that it will be a valuable resource for the Bitcoin community.”
Meanwhile, Australia has surpassed El Salvador as the fourth largest provider of crypto ATMs with 219 in operation, according to a report by Coin Telegraph.
The country only makes up 0.6% of total cryptocurrency ATMs, with 38,602 worldwide.
Spain comes in third with 272 ATMs, followed by Canada with 2,649 and the U.S. with 33,947 ATMs, according to Coin ATM Radar.
