Binance Files for Brazilian Crypto License Ahead of October 30 Deadline; Restricts 8 Services and Delists 22 Tokens in Brazil
Binance filed an application with Brazil’s central bank on October 23 through its local entity BBrasil to operate as a virtual asset service provider (SPSAV), ahead of the October 30 regulatory deadline, according to Blocknews. To comply with local rules, Binance began restricting eight services for Brazilian users on October 27, including crypto loans, margin trading, mining pools and cloud mining, while delisting 22 tokens, including USDE, USTC, DCR and XVG. Existing positions in affected products are generally limited to reductions or closures, with new positions prohibited. According to media reports published on October 26, the application was filed on October 23. The move follows Binance’s decision to restrict services for users in Brazil starting October 27. These changes are in response to Resolutions 519, 520, and 521.
Binance Applies For Brazil Crypto License Ahead Of Deadline
Thiago Sarandy, Binance manager in Brazil, confirmed the application in an interview with Exame. The approval would let BBrasil offer permitted asset services, such as crypto trading, stablecoin transactions, payments, and investments.
Sarandy said Binance wants to build a financial platform in Brazil, possibly offering products that are not available through traditional banks.
The application does not guarantee approval. Under Brazil’s rules, existing virtual asset service providers must submit applications by October 30 to keep operating under temporary arrangements while the Central Bank reviews their requests.
Binance previously obtained brokerage approval in Brazil by buying Sim Paul, which received Central Bank approval in 2024.
Eight Binance Services Restricted For Brazilian Users
From October 27, Binance is restricting eight services for Brazilian residents to align with the new regulatory requirements.

- Binance Pool

Affected balances remain subject to the withdrawal or reinvestment options. Additional verification requirements for crypto transfers will begin on November 1.
