Users will be able to send USDC directly from Samsung Wallet to compatible crypto wallets without Samsung charging a transfer fee. Coinbase will power the USDC service, while Solana and Sui will provide blockchain infrastructure. Samsung also plans to support transfers to eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries.
The new service will be built directly into Samsung Wallet. Users will not need to download a separate cryptocurrency application to send or receive USDC.
Samsung Wallet is already used for things such as payment cards, boarding passes and IDs. The company now wants to add stablecoin transfers to the same experience.
When the service launches, users will be able to send USDC to compatible crypto wallets. Samsung said it will not charge a transfer fee for these transactions. However, the receiving wallet or exchange may charge its own fee.
The service will also allow users to send money to eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries. In these cases, the person receiving the money will get the amount in the local currency. This means the recipient will not necessarily need to own USDC or even use a crypto wallet.

Coinbase will provide the main USDC infrastructure in the United States. According to Coinbase, USDC will automatically appear as the default dollar stablecoin when users add funds to their stablecoin balance in Samsung Wallet.
Coinbase will also provide custody for USDC through its Coinbase Prime Vault service. The arrangement involves Bastion, a licensed stablecoin custodian and infrastructure provider.
The two companies already have a relationship. Samsung Pay has previously been added as a payment option in the Coinbase application. Coinbase One benefits have also been made available through Samsung Wallet for eligible US users.

Samsung has named Solana and Sui as blockchain infrastructure partners for its stablecoin service. Both networks have been expanding their use in payments and other digital-asset applications.
Stablecoins are becoming increasingly important for international payments because they can move digital dollars across borders without requiring users to handle traditional banking processes at every stage.
Samsung said users will not have to manage private keys themselves. Transfers will also require biometric authentication on registered Galaxy devices, adding an extra security step. The company has plans to expand the stablecoin service to other markets, but these expansions will depend on local regulations.
Samsung is also considering future stablecoin payments at online and physical stores. However, it has not announced when those services will begin.
For now, the late-October US launch will be the first major test of Samsung’s stablecoin service at a large consumer scale. If the rollout works smoothly, the company could gradually make digital-dollar transfers a normal part of its smartphone wallet experience.
